BACKGROUND
During the most recent joint workshop meeting between the Town Council, Planning Commission and the Design Review Board, the issue of story poles for Design Review applications was discussed. At that time, suggestions were made to possibly broaden the requirements for story poles to allow the poles to better illustrate the dimensions of proposed structures. There was a consensus at the workshop that this subject should be agendized at a future Board meeting for additional discussion.
The Design Review Board may use this opportunity to discuss any potential issues regarding story poles. Possible discussion topics may include, but are not limited to, requirements to install netting or ribbons between poles; timing on installation of story poles; and adequacy of the number of poles currently required.
STAFF RECOMMENDATION
Discuss current and potential Town policies regarding story poles, and give direction to Staff regarding any proposed policy changes.
