 BACKGROUND

The Town’s Bicycle-Pedestrian Advisory Committee (BPAC) was recently reformulated and reactivated by the Town Council. The Committee includes one member of the Parks & Open Space Commission. Former Commissioner Jordan Eth had previously represented the POSC on this Committee.

At this time, the POSC needs to appoint one of its members to serve on the BPAC. The BPAC’s primary role will be to work with Town Staff to develop a Bicycle-Pedestrian Master Plan for the Town of Tiburon, and to provide advice and recommendations to the Town Council and Town Staff with respect to bicycle and pedestrian safety and improvements.

Current members of the BPAC are:

Jeff Slavitz Town Council

Vacant Parks & Open Space Commission

Fred Mayo Belvedere-Tiburon Joint Recreation Committee

Tyler Phillips Public member

Peter Winkler Public member

Ralph Leighton Public member

Petey Stein Public member

RECOMMENDATION

Appoint a member to the Bicycle-Pedestrian Advisory Committee.
