DRAFT SUMMARY OF DISCUSSION REGARDING REQUEST TO EXPAND THE FACILITIES FOR AN EXISTING CHURCH; ST. HILARY’S CHURCH, PROPERTY OWNER

BACKGROUND

At the September 13, 2000 meeting, the Planning Commission voted to adopt Resolution No. 2000-13 denying the application for a conditional use permit (File #19908) for St. Hilary’s Church to expand the church and school on property located at 761 Hilary Drive. During the review of this item, the Commission indicated that if this decision is appealed to the Town Council, it would be important for the Council to have a complete understanding of the Commission’s deliberations regarding this application. In addition to receiving minutes of the Planning Commission meetings, the Commission felt that a summary of the pertinent discussion would be helpful to the Town Council. The Commission therefore directed Staff to prepare such a summary as an informational item, and to present the summary for review by the Commission prior to submittal to the Town Council. The draft summary has been prepared and is attached.

 

RECOMMENDATION

Review the draft summary and direct Staff regarding any changes to be made.
